I've been doing some navel gazing. I want any of you out there, stumbling across my blog, to feel a part of buntyandsars land. I want you to get inside my head space, get to know what makes me tick (or, more often, clunk and grind) Allow yourself a few minutes with each new entry to tumble in to my world.

I'm at home with two kidlets, ages one and almost three. They are BUSY children. It's incredible how completely they are committed to learning. They constantly fill their heads with new information and get their (usually sticky) hands into everything, just to find out how it all works. Then they crash. Sleep. Get up. Get stuck into it. Again.

I wonder where the urgency and compulsion comes from. Then I realise that the apples(or perhaps are they quinces?) haven't dropped far from their tree. I can't bear being idle either. (except at kiddie bedtime when I manage to spend a little quality time on the couch staring blankly at the wall, vaguely relishing in the calm following the cyclone).

I'm a bit of a 1950's housewife without the "sit down dear, here are your slippers, can I get you a drink? My you've been working so hard to support our family" palaver. Don't we all work hard to support our families now?? HOWEVER, give me the sewing, knitting and baking part and I'm in my element!

Then there's this creative drive I can't seem to (or want to) dampen. After baking a cake, feeding the kids, doing a trip to the library(did I mention I love books too?) then plonking the kids in some beds I'll retreat to my drawing room and pour out some of my ideas before I start splittting at the seams. Quickly, quickly...before they wake up!!

See below for annotated images depicting afformentioned drawing room.

You'll be pleased to hear, the Daylesford Makers Market is on again this Saturday. Look forward to seeing lots of people stumbling in off the street for a warm, a cuppa (highly recommend the hot choc in back room cafe) and of course a spot of shopping. There'll be lots of exclusive, hand made, unique and trully beautiful goodies. So, shun the mass produced and bring something special home for yourself or someone else...! You must check out my new range of pencil cases, so fresh, they're not even finished yet.
